Caz Northwest is Reorganizing
Caz Northwest is getting ready for 2024!
Hello, Community! We are excited to share news about the non-profit that helps organize each session of Caz Northwest.
After years of nurturing from a California-based nonprofit called Cazadero Performing Arts Family Camp (CPAFC), Caz Northwest has finally launched as an independent, Washington non-profit. Three campers (pictured here) form the board of directors: Suzanne Lindsay, Carin Rosenberg, and Jonathan Shakes. Jonathan is volunteering as the temporary admin director under the wise counsel of Marie Schumacher and the leaders of CPAFC. Once we get set up, a major goal will be to secure facilities that can support enough housing and programs to make Caz Northwest thrive for decades.
Your new board chartered a committee (Carin, Marie, Suzanne and Aaron Elliott) to hire the 2024 Caz NW Camp Director, and they are excited to announce the appointment of … Taiko drumroll please …
Miranda Shakes is excited to join the Caz Northwest team as Camp Director! A passionate music educator and lifelong learner, Miranda currently serves as Music Director for School of Rock Issaquah. She brings many years of previous experience as a summer camp director, counselor, and camper. In 2022, Miranda received her Masters in Education from San Francisco State University with an emphasis in Equity and Social Justice. Her favorite Caz Northwest memory is learning to play the harp as a camper in 2022.
Stay Tuned!
We’re building all the new structures for the organization and expect registration to open in 2-3 weeks. In the meantime, mark your calendars for June 30-July 6 and tell your friends! https://www.caznw.org
